Splatter:Naked Blood

A complete ouroborus of tragedy and love.Through the film within a film within a film framing and the rebirths seen in the  ending. The characters are all obsessed with self actualisation and go to such lengths to achieve it it swallows them or allows them to begin again with new purpose.

Shot using a variaty of cameras and visual styles ranging from early home video digital cameras that invoke the milleniums fast approach and the fear that comes with it. to sepia toned film used for nostalgia and uncanny in equal measures. The film must be seen to be believed. On top of all of these themes. Old and new and the oncoming digital apocalyspse. Is the story of several woman trying to find ther place in the world while being subjected to the whims of the men around them. The film is incredibly gory, yes, with one of the most upsetting eye trauma scenes this side of a lucio Fulci work but the carnage on screen contrasted with the slower character based parts of the film create a distinc and powerful blend. lots to digest with this will need to watch it again to formulate my thoughts but I think I loved this.
